Youth at the United Nations

This workshop is organized by the Swiss UN Youth Representatives (Youth Reps) and aims to discuss what YOUth can contribute to the United Nations. 

Since 1981 several resolutions are calling for an active involvement of young people in the United Nations. Nevertheless, only about 10% of all UN member states include for example youth representatives in their delegations.

On one hand this workshop is going to present you an overview of  the multiple possibilities and options of getting involved with the systems of the United Nations and on the other hand, the Youth Reps also want to discuss how (or if at all) the United Nations can profit from young people's inputs and engagements. They want to hear and gather your ideas as to where and how YOUth can make a difference within the United Nations.
