Internships abroad

Did you ever dream of an internship in a foreign country? Is there a theme, particular region or acute grievance that concerns you personally? Would you like to gain an own impression of different realities and engage yourself actively for your ideals where your commitment is most needed?

Nowadays the possibilities of getting engaged abroad seem unlimited but not everything that might look very interesting will also turn out to be what you were really looking for. In this workshop we’ll give you some practical hints and advices for the organization of your personal engagement in a foreign country.

Apart from showing you some concrete examples (in collaboration with our partner organizations IDEM and AFS), we are going to give you some inputs, ideas and important know-how for the planning of your internship abroad. After the informative part of the workshop some young experienced changemakers will share their personal experiences with you and answer all of your questions.

This the opportunity for you to get to know where you can find attractive internship opportunities, what you should look for before going abroad, which innovative organizations offer you interesting internships and get some first-hand impressions from people who have already spent an internship abroad.

IDEM - Identity Through Initiative
IDEM is an Organisation based on the qualities of youth. As an international Network built on personal contacts IDEM aims to be a platform for people to unfold their true potential to contribute towards society.
IDEM organizes work camps that are arranged in partnership with social initiatives in Development countries. They discuss their needs with IDEM which then organises a group of volunteers who wish to take responsibility for the project.
