United Nations

This workshop is organized by the Swiss UN Youth Representatives (Youth Reps) and aims at discussing what YOUth can contribute to the United Nations. 

Since 1981 several UN resolutions are calling for an active involvement of young people. Nevertheless, only about 10% of all UN member states include for example youth representatives in their delegations.

On the one hand this workshop will present you with an oversight of to the multiple possibilities and options of getting involved with the UN system that are at your reach. On the other hand, the Yout Reps also want to discuss how (or if at all) the UN can profit from young people's input. They want to hear and gather your ideas as to where and how YOUth can make a difference within the UN system.
