Red Cross Switzerland
Switzerland as a so called Country of Immigration faces opportunities of cultural exchange on the one hand. On the other hand, different cultures and religions living together often provoke misunderstandings, fear, prejudice, discrimination or violence, which can lead to new conflicts. The reason is that different interests, expectations or associations can neither be communicated nor realized.
This workshops aims at:
- Giving you a clear view of the issue of migration in Europe and in Switzerland
- Thinking about some initiative that can be undertaken by young people to encourage the population to see the positive faces of migration
- Presenting you some examples of initiatives or projects undertaken in the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and in the Swiss Red Cross.
