Hello everybody,

The first month of 2012 is already over and we are already up to full speed again here at euforia. The end of 2011 was marked by the launch of the CHANGEmakers network. We were very pleased to have been able to bring together former euforia project participants and friends in five different cities and to have launched the imp!act award. We were very pleased with the proposals received and have now submitted them to a public vote. For us it is just great to see that imp!act continues within the everyday life our participants. We really feel that they are determined to take their projects to the next stage. Many of them pass by at our euforia office and ask us for inputs. We are also proud that one of our last year’s projects received a grant allowing it to be professionalized. It’s also amazing to see that 73% of the imp!act participants affirm to have become more active in the months following the event. Spurred by these great results, we have been busy this month setting the ground for an even more successul 2012. A team retreat in Lenk has greatly facilitated this task. Moreover, we have taken important decisions about our flagship projects and it’s great to see that our project teams are up and running and full of determined young people.
Other than that, we are happy that our executive director represents the voice of youth at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Don’t miss out on his impressions!

The three projects with most votes will each win the imp!act award and receive an amount of  2’500 CHF. Deadline is January 31

This is the last monthly update from euforia for the year 2011. Time just flew by and we are immensely happy and proud of what we have accomplished during this year. It has been a great challenge to carry out our two flagship projects ñ imp!act and STEP into action ñ within the same year. But, we have been able to live up to the task and have reached out to over a 1000 young persons in Switzerland and beyond. The great feedback weíve received, the reactions of the participants and everyone working with us have shown us that itís worth while to strive for a culture of youth engagement. We have come to see that we do not stand alone with our vision and this gives us great confidence to go full steam ahead on our path in 2012.

Weíd like to take the occasion here to thank everyone whoís helped us, no matter how big or small your contribution has been. And we hope that the success weíve had with our projects motivates you to continue on your path as well. We wish you a smooth Christmas and only the best for 2012!

The last day of imp!act doesn’t mark the end. Quite the contrary, the last day of imp!act is when it all begins: sparkling new commitments, ideas, motivation, networks and a movement of young changemakers leave on their way to shake our society. Big time! And we are thrilled, not to say euphoric, to announce that the imp!act participants are taking the CHANGEmakers Network into their own hands and have organized 5 follow-up events to relive imp!act, connect insights, share motivation and watch the imp!act MOVIE(s):Join the movement to feel the vibe, inspire and be inspired!
